“The opportunities of innovative technologies are often the beginning of great deals”
Demosthenes

Learning foreign languages is impossible to imagine without the use of innovative learning tools. Of course, important tasks for the methodology of teaching foreign languages include providing opportunities to illustrate the actual process of communication in English, and creating an educational environment that provides real conditions for learning use of the target language and its culture.
The 21st century, often called the information age, is bringing about changes to the traditional teaching of language. The use of innovative technologies in teaching in our time is of great importance, thanks to their new possibilities. The introduction of new information and communication technologies expand access to an open education system, and change the idea of the qualifications needed by modern graduate students.
This shifts my pedagogical theme “The using of innovative Technologies at English lessons in order to increase students’ motivation”.
The use of innovative technologies such as Cloud technology, Partnership, Project technology, Information and Communication technology, Interactive game learning technology in the learning process allow for improvements in the process of organic combination of traditional and innovative forms and methods of education; implementation of training, information, games, modeling, design and analysis functions; performance of such general didactic principles as visibility and accessibility; feasibility of systematic transition from education to self-education; a positive emotional background for training; and linking theory to practice. In addition, such technologies are supported by multimedia programs, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and a special information educational environment created for holistic knowledge of the world in the context of computer-aided design and modeling.
Innovative technologies act as a special intellectual activity, which means they have a number of advantages:
1. The pedagogy means continuous improvement of content and methods of education in modern conditions.
2.  Provides opportunities to identify and support students with linguistic abilities.
3. Represents the basis of distance learning.
4. Provides access to best practices in education and training of the general public through the educational world of the Internet and an extensive communication network.
5. Creates an artificial language environment, allowing the study of foreign languages (FL) at students’ own pace, increasing the independence and responsibility of students when organizing FL training for all age groups. Allows building FL training in accordance with student interests and goals, and allows students to enter into training in the intercultural component of FL.
As teachers we all want to ensure our learners are motivated and want to learn English. To do this, we need to understand why our learners want to study or why they don’t seem to want to. Carl Rogers, the American psychologist, talked about two types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, which affect learning and the desire to improve. Let’s consider both. Intrinsic motivation comes from the learners themselves. For example, a learner might really enjoy classroom games, or they like to write because see value in the activity. Perhaps they enjoy speaking activities, because they enjoy the sound of English. Intrinsic motivation must come from the learner. And our job as teachers is to create a suitable environment for this to happen.
The second type of motivation, extrinsic motivation, relies on an external driving force or a means to an end. Sometimes people will work hard on something even when they’re not interested in the activity itself, because completion will lead to some kind of benefit or reward, like a good grade in an examination or a promotion at work. On the other hand, the possible negative consequences of not learning could be motivating to. As teachers we can help learners work towards their language learning goals by providing targeted activities.
Types of motivation
Intrinsic motivation — comes from the learner. The learning activity and the learning environment motivate the learner because they are a source of enjoyment or value.
Extrinsic motivation — comes from an external source, some kind of external benefit or reward. The potential negative consequences of not learning can also be motivating.
Motivation is a key factor in the success of students at all stages of their education, and teachers can play a pivotal role in providing and encouraging that motivation in their students. Of course that’s much easier said than done, as all students are motivated differently and it takes time and a lot of effort to learn to get a classroom full of kids enthusiastic about learning, working hard, and pushing themselves to excel.
To increase student motivation I propose 10 tips from my experience.
1. Make goals high but attainable.
 If you’re not pushing your students to do more than the bare minimum, most won’t seek to push themselves on their own. Students like to be challenged and will work to achieve high expectations so long as they believe those goals to be within their reach, so don’t be afraid to push students to get more out of them.

2. Define the objectives.
 It can be very frustrating for students to complete an assignment or even to behave in class if there aren’t clearly defined objectives. Students want and need to know what is expected of them in order to stay motivated to work. At the beginning of the year, lay out clear objectives, rules, and expectations of students so that there is no confusion and students have goals to work towards.

3. Give students a sense of control.
While guidance from a teacher is important to keeping kids on task and motivated, allowing students to have some choice and control over what happens in the classroom is actually one of the best ways to keep them engaged. For example, allowing students to choose the type of assignment they do or which problems to work on can give them a sense of control that may just motivate them to do more.

4. Offer varied experiences.
Not all students will respond to lessons in the same way. For some, hands-on experiences may be the best. Others may love to read books quietly or to work in groups. In order to keep all students motivated, mix up your lessons so that students with different preferences will each get time focused on the things they like best. Doing so will help students stay engaged and pay attention.

5. Use positive competition.
 Competition in the classroom isn’t always a bad thing, and in some cases can motivate students to try harder and work to excel. Work to foster a friendly spirit of competition in your classroom, perhaps through group games related to the material or other opportunities for students to show off their knowledge.

6. Offer rewards.
 Everyone likes getting rewards, and offering your students the chance to earn them is an excellent source of motivation. Things like pizza parties, watching movies, or even something as simple as a sticker on a paper can make students work harder and really aim to achieve. Consider the personalities and needs of your students to determine appropriate rewards for your class.

7. Give students responsibility.
 Assigning students classroom jobs is a great way to build a community and to give students a sense of motivation. Most students will see classroom jobs as a privilege rather than a burden and will work hard to ensure that they, and other students, are meeting expectations. It can also be useful to allow students to take turns leading activities or helping out so that each feels important and valued.

8. Allow students to work together.
 While not all students will jump at the chance to work in groups, many will find it fun to try to solve problems, do experiments, and work on projects with other students. The social interaction can get them excited about things in the classroom and students can motivate one another to reach a goal. Teachers need to ensure that groups are balanced and fair, however, so that some students aren’t doing more work than others.

9. Give feedback and offer chances to improve.
 Students who struggle with class work can sometimes feel frustrated and get down on themselves, draining motivation. In these situations it’s critical that teachers help students to learn exactly where they went wrong and how they can improve next time. Figuring out a method to get where students want to be can also help them to stay motivated to work hard.

10. Provide opportunities for success.
 Students, even the best ones, can become frustrated and demotivated when they feel like they’re struggling or not getting the recognition that other students are. Make sure that all students get a chance to play to their strengths and feel included and valued. It can make a world of difference in their motivation.
One way to motivate students in learning foreign languages at my lessons is Project technology, when the student independently plans, creates that is actively involved in the process of communicative activity. Training project is a set of search, research, settlement, graphics and other types of work performed by students independently for practical or theoretical solution of a significant problem.
Types of projects:
1) role- playing, dramatization, staging (fairy tales, TV shows, festivals, musical performances, etc.);

2) research (country studies, synthesis of scientific knowledge, historical, environmental, etc.);

3) creative (composition, translation, script, wall newspapers, etc.);

4) multimedia presentations.

Project technology and Partnership help to develop language and intellectual skills, strong interest in learning the language, the need for self-education. Ultimately, it is assumed the achievement of communicative competence that is a certain level of language, country studies, socio-cultural knowledge, communication skills and language skills that allow for foreign communication.
Information and communication technology is a powerful learning tool, control and management of the educational process. It is the most important parameter of contemporary socio-cultural system. Online Resources are familiar and convenient means of exploring the culture of other countries and peoples, communication, information, inexhaustible source of educational process. That is why, based on a systematic approach to reforming the methods of learning a foreign language using the new information technologies based on the concept of information and learning environment, which is seen in close connection with the system of developmental education. Information - learning environment is a set of conditions that not only let you create and develop language skills, abilities and skills, but also promote the development of the individual student. Learner, as more and more active, deep and full participation in the process of self- learning activities on mastering a foreign language, is transformed from a passive object of influence of the teacher in a full partner of the educational process.
